Ardyne were challenged to bring a new solution to a challenging lower zone P&A Operation, for the Gullfaks C-37 Well. Previous recovery attempts had been unsuccessful in challenging well conditions.

For this application Ardyne developed & built a new 4 1/4" cutter & knives, alongside a new 7" Mill to ensure smooth operations. Extensive pre-job planning with Equinor guarenteed that everybody was prepared to deliver both planned and contingency operations, with 11 baskets and over 80 tons of equipment mobilised to enable immediate switch in tactics based on downhole conditions.
